- Estimate Crew Size, Schedule, Materials, and Equipment Required
- Coordinate Start Date and Sequence with Superintendent
- Active Construction
- Ensure Safety Management Plan is Followed and Hazards are Mitigated
- Perform Material Takeoffs for Upcoming Sequences
- Coordinate Material and Equipment Orders and Deliveries with Project Manager
- Coordinate Crew Size and Durations with Superintendent
- Perform Layout of Concrete Elements (Caissons, Footings, Walls, Grade Beams, Columns, Etc.) from Control (Gridlines)
- Perform Journeyman Level Forming, Placing, and Finishing Activities
- Perform QA/QC Inspections
- Generate Documentation (Safety Plans, Daily Logs, Photos, Production Reports)
- Generate Timecards for Crew
- Attend Project Meetings (Schedule, Subcontractor, Safety, Etc.)
- Communicate Project Status Updates, Challenges, and Successes
- Perform Problem Solving Efforts When Required
- Identify and Track Extra Work Performed
- Identifying and Track Re-Work Performed
- Obtain Safety Certifications as Required (NCCER, OSHA, Forklift, Rigging, Etc.)
- Maintain Stormwater Best Management Practices
- Obtain Installation Certifications as Required
- Management
- Ensure Site Safety Conditions are Acceptable
- Ensure Quality of Work Installed by Crew Members is Acceptable
- Ensure Production Rate of Work Installed by Crew Members is Acceptable
- Manage Morale of Crew Members
- Provide Training and Mentorship to Crew Members
- Document Crew Member Underperformance or Misbehavior
- Inventory and Maintain Company Owned Tools and Equipment
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in commercial concrete
- Gang form experience is a plus.
- Experience leading and managing concrete crews
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Ability to utilize software on PC and tablet (Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Etc.)
- Ability to train others in a variety of skill sets
- Ability to provide their own safety footwear and hand tools
