Construction Safety Manager

Primary

Denver, CO

Project Area: Approximately 95% of work is within the Denver Metro Area, with projects extending throughout the Front Range to Fort Collins.

Start Date: ASAP (Within 30 Days)

Type: Full-Time W2 | Direct Hire

Compensation & Schedule

Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 Annually

Benefits: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, and Full Benefits Package

Company Vehicle: Truck & Gas Card Provided

Company Equipment: Phone, Laptop & iPad Provided

Bonus: Eligible for Discretionary Performance Bonus

Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40 Hours Per Week | First Shift

This role provides safety leadership across both ground-up construction and occupied facility projects while partnering closely with project managers, superintendents, foremen, estimators, owners, and general contractors.

Required Qualifications
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • 5+ years of construction safety experience supporting mechanical construction projects
  • Experience overseeing plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical system installations
  • Experience leading incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Experience with:
    • Fall Protection
    • Scaffolding & Ladder Safety
    • Hot Work, Cutting, Grinding & Welding
    • Confined Space Entry
    • Electrical Hazard Awareness
    • Crane & Rigging Operations
    • Material Handling
    • Trenching & Excavation
    • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Management experience with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or related field
  • Construction Health & Safety Officer (CHSO)
  • Direct OSHA inspection experience
  • Procore experience
  • Experience supporting commercial or industrial mechanical contractors
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent construction projects
  • CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential
What You'll Be Doing
  • Develop, implement, and manage company EHS programs
  • Conduct routine project inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Pre-Task Plans (PTPs), permits, and lift plans
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Conduct new hire orientations and ongoing safety training
  • Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and Estimators to integrate safety into project planning and execution
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety requirements
  • Maintain safety metrics, reporting, and compliance documentation
  • Coordinate with owners, customers, and general contractors regarding project safety expectations
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all active projects
