Estimator – Water
We're seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing Water team. In this role, you'll develop accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and industrial water projects while collaborating with preconstruction, operations, field teams, and vendors to deliver successful bids.
Responsibilities- Review plans, specifications, addenda, and project documents.
- Prepare accurate material, labor, and equipment takeoffs.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, bid tabulations, and proposals.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Identify scope gaps, risks, clarifications, and value engineering opportunities.
- Conduct site visits and job walks as needed.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, field personnel, and preconstruction teams throughout the estimating process.
- Maintain organized estimate files, cost databases, and pricing information.
- Support project turnover from estimating to operations.
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout all project planning activities.
- 2+ years of estimating experience in construction, mechanical, industrial, or water infrastructure projects.
- Experience performing quantity takeoffs and developing competitive project estimates.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
- Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, and bid packages.
- Knowledge of cost estimating principles, value engineering, and project risk analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Competitive salary: $85,000–$130,000
