We are seeking top-tier talent to join our Infrastructure division and build innovative projects in the transit and transportation sectors, such as roads, highways/freeways, bridges, interchanges, LRTs, BRTs, and airports. About the Role:Reporting to the Superintendent and/or Construction Manager, the Foreman is responsible for organizing, directing, and supervising employees engaged in specific functions on construction projects. Strives to complete their portion of the project on time and on budget. The Foreman brings a high quality and ethical approach to this position and works in a team environment. As an Operator Foreman at Graham, you will:
- Supervises the construction of a portion of a project under the direction of a superintendent.
- Maintains ongoing communication with the Superintendent and/or Construction Manager.
- Takes an active role in the hiring, training, terminating, and assigning of field personnel.
- Monitors and addresses cost and labor performance of construction projects in conjunction with the Superintendent.
- Selects and instructs crews.
- Carries out the implementation of management decisions, such as construction methods, schedule, quality, and safety.
- Responsible for on-site project administration and reporting of labor, equipment and material (payroll administration, labor coding of time, equipment coding, material purchase order coding) adhering to Company standards, as it relates to the foreman's portion of the project.
- Safety, as outlined in the Graham Loss Management Manual.
- Leads weekly toolbox meetings.
- Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints and specifications.
- Supervises quality and testing.
- Assists with the preparation of execution plans, ITPs, safe work plans, work assignments, and so on.
- Assists with grievance issues, and general site labor issues.
Experience:
5 or more years of experience on heavy civil construction projects. Must be proficient in reading construction plans and specifications. Must be proficiency with MS Excel, Word and Outlook. Must have practiced verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of construction engineering and design.
