FDRsafety is seeking a Safety Coordinator for a leading mechanical construction organization in the Denver, CO area. This position is responsible for supporting the successful implementation of corporate Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs across active construction projects while promoting a proactive, safety-first culture.
Reporting to the Regional Safety Director, the Safety Coordinator will conduct training, perform jobsite inspections, investigate incidents, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide daily support to field operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career safety professional looking to grow within a respected construction organization.
Salary Range: $80,000–$120,000 per year (based on experience)
- Coordinate and facilitate site-specific safety orientation programs in accordance with corporate safety policies.
- Ensure Environmental, Health & Safety programs are consistently implemented across assigned project sites.
- Stay current with OSHA regulations and construction industry best practices, recommending improvements as appropriate.
- Conduct safety training programs including:
- Fall Protection
- Aerial Lift (Man Lift) Safety
- Forklift Safety
- Powder-Actuated Tools
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Confined Space Entry
- Reinforce safe work practices through ongoing coaching and employee engagement.
- Perform routine safety inspections and proactive field observations.
- Conduct confined space air monitoring and exposure assessments when required.
- Investigate property damage, injuries, near misses, and safety incidents.
- Document accidents, unsafe conditions, safety violations, and corrective actions in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
- Accompany regulatory agencies, insurance representatives, and safety auditors during site inspections.
- Ensure each project site maintains adequate first aid supplies, emergency equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support project teams by identifying hazards and recommending practical corrective actions.
- Partner with project management and field supervision to promote continuous safety improvement.
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Up to 5 years of safety experience within the mechanical construction industry preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
- Ability to recognize workplace hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with project management software is a plus.
- Travel between project sites may be required.
