In accordance with Colorado State law, Pauls Corp discloses wage information for roles that may be performed within the state of Colorado. The anticipated base pay for this position, located in Colorado, is $80,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
Position Summary The Project Engineer is a key member of the project team responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of multifamily residential construction projects. Working closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent, this position provides technical and operational support related to project documentation, procurement, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and project execution.
The Project Engineer serves as the primary technical coordination resource for the project team and represents an important development path toward Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager positions.
Key Responsibilities Technical Project Administration Maintain working knowledge of project drawings, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, and project requirements.
Coordinate technical project documentation and ensure timely distribution of project information.
Prepare, process, and track RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, product data, and samples.
Coordinate responses between subcontractors, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Maintain awareness of project risks, documentation requirements, and contractual obligations.
Project Planning & Scheduling Assist in development and maintenance of detailed project schedules and look-ahead schedules.
Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks.
Coordinate procurement activities and material tracking efforts.
Support project logistics planning and site operations.
Procurement & Subcontractor Management Support bid solicitation, scope review, quantity takeoffs, and bid leveling activities.
Assist with buyout and subcontract preparation.
Coordinate material and equipment procurement activities.
Support subcontract administration and performance tracking.
Monitor subcontractor compliance with contract scope and schedule commitments.
Change Management & Cost Control Assist with pricing, documentation, and evaluation of change orders.
Review scope impacts and support cost analysis efforts.
Assist with progress billing, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Support maintenance of project cost controls and tracking systems.
Field Operations & Coordination Support daily project operations alongside the Superintendent and Project Manager.
Coordinate communication between owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project staff.
Assist in resolving constructability issues, drawing conflicts, and project discrepancies.
Monitor field progress and identify obstacles affecting project execution.
Support overall project coordination and stakeholder communication.
Quality Control & Safety Support implementation of project QA/QC programs.
Participate in inspections, punch list activities, and quality reviews.
Assist with project safety compliance initiatives and documentation.
Document deficiencies and follow through on corrective actions.
Promote safe work practices and project quality standards.
Project Closeout Coordinate collection of as-built drawings, warranties, O&M manuals, and closeout documentation.
Assist with punch list completion and final inspections.
Support subcontract reconciliation and project turnover activities.
Participate in owner turnover and acceptance processes.
