Emory Workforce is currently looking for a Superintendent to join our team!

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Superintendent to manage day-to-day operations on construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing field crews, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and maintaining the project schedule. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving ability, and a deep understanding of construction processes and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all field operations on construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specifications
  • Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project managers
  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies
  • Monitor project progress and adjust work schedules as needed to meet deadlines
  • Review blueprints, project plans, and specifications to ensure correct execution
  • Conduct site inspections and resolve field issues quickly and efficiently
  • Maintain daily logs, site reports, and other documentation
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to all codes and standards
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients and consultants
  • Participate in project planning meetings and assist with budgeting and forecasting
Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or superintendent role
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and building codes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
  • Proficiency with construction software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project)
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety practices (OSHA 10/30 certification preferred)
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
