Position SummaryThe Project Manager oversees commercial and/or multi-family electrical projects from inception to completion. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, budgeting, and executing while meeting safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and manage all phases of electrical projects, including scheduling, procurement, and installation.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules and budgets; monitor progress and adjust as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality, resolve issues, and ensure milestones are on track.
- Manage project documentation, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and closeout processes.
- Lead project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and deliverables.
- Support procurement of materials and subcontractor services in collaboration with purchasing teams.
- Drive performance by mentoring field staff and ensuring adherence to productivity and quality benchmarks.
- Proven experience (5+ years) managing electrical projects, ideally in commercial or multi-family settings
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and construction project management practices
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
- PMP certification or electrical contractor license is a plus
- Primarily field-based with regular office reporting
- Travel between job sites as required
- Fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment with high expectations for safety and performance.
