The Training Media Specialist (Video Production) creates the professional video content that enables Collab Ops Academy to deliver high-quality learning king closely with the Curriculum Development Lead, this role is responsible for producing instructional videos, demonstrations, and motion graphics that make complex collaboration concepts clear, engaging, and practical. High-quality video production is essential to our mission, as it differentiates Collab Ops Academy from basic online courses and supports the certification program that helps make our work financially sustainable.
Through compelling visual storytelling, this role multiplies impact by allowing our curriculum to reach hundreds of learners while maintaining a consistent, professional learning experience.
- Record and edit instructional videos (lectures, demonstrations, case studies)
- Coach instructors for effective on-camera delivery
- Create motion graphics, titles, and transitions
- Manage video hosting and ensure accessible playback
- Maintain brand consistency across all video content
- Optimize videos for various platforms and bandwidth conditions
- Collaborate with Curriculum Lead to understand content needs and learning objectives
- Organize and document asset library for easy retrieval and reuse
- Maintain quality standards and production workflows
Respond to urgent production needs for course updates - Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas
- 2+ years of video production experience (educational/training content preferred)
- Proficiency with video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
- Experience with screen recording and virtual production
- Understanding of video compression, formats, and web optimization
- Ability to commit ~15 hours/week from Mid February 2026 through August 2026 (6-7 month volunteer commitment)
- Comfortable working remotely with distributed teams
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
- Passion for using video storytelling to support humanitarian and disaster-response efforts
- Technical proficiency with relevant production software
