KDVR/KWGN seeks a high‑energy, full‑time news reporter hungry to own the big story. The ideal candidate thrives on telling breaking and hard news stories on television and digital platforms, finds enterprise stories through developing sources and contacts, and can ad‑lib with ease and go live in sometimes difficult conditions. We want a team player who can think for themselves while executing our breaking news/hard news brand and connect with viewers, receive feedback, and model professionalism on and off air.

• Accurate and fair reporting of news stories.
• Actively participate in editorial meetings and come prepared with multiple original story ideas.
• Develop community contacts and a network of news sources.
• Ad‑lib live breaking news by telling a compelling story and interact with anchors.
• Work with photographers, producers, and assignment editors to develop stories.
• Regularly update the newsroom on story elements and progress.
• Participate in station‑related community events.
• Support positive newsroom culture and collaborate to foster an environment of integrity.

• B.A. or B.S. degree in journalism, communications, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience reporting in a medium or large market.
• Strong on‑air presentation; credible, personable, and engaging.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accept constructive direction and feedback.
• Flexible schedule; willing to work additional hours, days, different shifts, and holidays.
• Positive, solution‑oriented attitude and team player.
• Ability to perform duties and make decisions under pressure.

$75,000–$85,000 based on experience.
