Broadcast Control Room Operator
Location: Lakewood, CO
Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Schedule: 24/7/365 Operation
We are seeking a Broadcast Control Room Operator to support television network operations and ensure uninterrupted, high-quality programming. The operator will monitor broadcasts, manage programming playlists, support live events, and act quickly when technical or programming issues occur.
This is a strong opportunity for candidates with experience in Master Control, broadcast operations, television production, media operations, or production control rooms.
Responsibilities- Monitor live and recorded programming for quality and continuity.
- Verify audio, video, captions, graphics, and picture quality.
- Maintain and modify automated programming playlists.
- Execute program, commercial, and promotional changes.
- Support live events, special programming, and contingency workflows.
- Monitor channel streams and identify technical or programming inconsistencies.
- Ensure all content is ready for on-air playout.
- Manage commercial break execution.
- Respond to on-air discrepancies and coordinate recovery.
- Communicate clearly with production and operations teams.
- Support new system implementations and changing workflows.
- Operate or learn broadcast automation systems including SNELL Morpheus and Amagi
.
- High School Diploma, Associate's Degree, relevant certification, or equivalent professional experience.
- Broadcast, television, media, digital, or post-production experience.
- Knowledge of television production and broadcast workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Ability to make quick decisions during high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Reliable and dependable work ethic.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and changing shifts.
- Must be fully onsite in Lakewood, CO.
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred: Master Control experience, Production Control Room experience, Broadcast QC, Playout, Transmission Operations, SNELL Morpheus, Amagi, or Spanish proficiency.
