Producer, Host Development & Production

The Producer, Host Development & Production owns the Host experience and production journey from early show vision through completed episode delivery. This role blends creative producing, Host

development, media coaching, production management, client success, quality control, program development, and cross-functional execution.

The Producer's job is to become a trusted production partner who understands what the Host wants to accomplish and has the expertise, tools, and production knowledge to help them make it happen. This includes helping Hosts develop their overall show arc, episode arcs, and individual segments; strengthening their storytelling and on-camera presence; preparing them to lead effective field productions; and helping them develop productive relationships with their Videographers.

Hosts come to RSN with different levels of media and production experience. Some arrive with a strong vision and need primarily coaching, production guidance, and accountability. Others may have little or no production experience and require more active support in learning how to develop, plan, and lead a show.

The Producer must meet Hosts where they are without creating dependency, building their confidence and capabilities while protecting their creative ownership.

A significant part of Host development happens through scalable Media Coaching Events. The Producer will build, facilitate, and continuously improve this program, creating group learning experiences and resources that help Hosts develop production skills, improve their on-camera performance, prepare for filming, and become increasingly capable show leaders. Individual support should be targeted to Hosts and situations where additional intervention creates meaningful value.

The Producer is accountable for maintaining visibility into the production discipline required to move each show from concept through filming, post-production, and final delivery. The Producer works in partnership with a production team that supports scheduling, routine follow-up, production coordination, and administrative execution. While the Producer remains accountable for understanding each Host's production status, anticipating risks, and ensuring the right actions are taking place.

The role is designed to focus significant time on Host development, creative producing, media coaching, production quality, and

the overall Host experience. Hosts retain creative ownership, but they are also expected to meet

established production timelines and practices, including maintaining visibility into their episode and segment plans and submitting required production requests.

This role requires someone who can move comfortably between creative thinking, coaching, client relationships, project management, problem-solving, quality control, and administrative execution. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, as is the ability to independently recognize what needs attention and take action.

The Producer is also expected to approach the work with an AI-forward mindset. Tools such as ChatGPT,

Claude, Gemini, and emerging AI capabilities should be thoughtfully incorporated where they can expand creative thinking, accelerate preparation, improve workflows, reduce unnecessary administrative work, and strengthen the Host experience. AI should enhance the Producer's expertise and capabilities without replacing professional judgment, authentic storytelling, or human relationships.
