Common Good Senior Copywriter Denver, CO
· Full time
Lead bold, brand-defining copy for national CPG clients at a Denver agency that’s been growing brands (and having fun doing it) since 1967.
About Common GoodCommon Good (formerly LRXD) is an advertising, design, experience and business transformation company for brands on a mission to change the world for the better. For the past ten years, we’ve been partnering with mission-driven brands to further our vision of Health & Happiness for all.
We’re a group of hard workers, bold makers, outdoor-shredders and culture-makers. We’re not fans of big egos or complacency. Instead, we thrive with a spirit of empathy, curiosity, collaboration and passion for making the work as strong as it can be. We take our health and happiness motto to heart and support the holistic well-care of our employees in both work and play — because we believe the best creative ideas are inspired both inside and outside the walls of our agency.
We go out and explore the world, then come back and pour our experiences into powerful work for our clients.
Joining our team comes with a fun and diverse group of coworkers spread throughout the country, a long and varied list of purpose-driven clients, solid bennies and an opportunity to create all kinds of interesting things that people won’t hate when they interact with them out in the world.
In this evolved world, two new currencies have become ultra-valuable in the lives of almost everyone:
Health and Happiness. Since 1967, Common Good has fought to bring more of both to the world — by growing brands that are on the same mission. Right now, we’re searching for a Senior Copywriter to help us accelerate the climb for the national brands we serve.
Description:
As a Senior Copywriter at Common Good, you’ll take ownership of concept development and copy execution from brief through final delivery, leading brainstorms and shaping the creative territories that fuel our clients’ success. You’ll be guided by the Creative Director but trusted to make significant creative decisions on your own, and you’ll be expected to mentor and sharpen the craft of more junior writers along the way.
We operate in a highly collaborative environment, so you’ll be asked to take suggestions from others openly and produce your very best work on a daily basis. We’re a company of unique individuals who work as a tight-knit team. Everyone is equally important in making us and — in turn, our clients — well-oiled machines.
We’re looking for a valuable member of our growing team — someone who strives to make great work but also wants to be part of a motivated crew who likes to have fun. Someone who can write in a range of tones for our national base of clients, lead others toward a strong idea and quickly and accurately turn ideas into advertising that motivates.
Conceptual leadership is a must, as this position will require thinking on all levels — from headline to campaign platform to the writers around you. As an agency that works in every form of media, you’ll be participating in and often leading all aspects of our integrated output.
- Lead brainstorms and generate channel-specific creative ideas, owning campaign copy from concept through final QA with full autonomy.
- Partner with creative and cross-functional teams to co-create integrated concepts, adapting your style and approach to fit team and project needs.
- Shape nuanced brand voice across formats, campaigns and sub-brands, ensuring consistency and distinctiveness at scale.
- Translate insight and strategy into high-impact language, sharpening briefs and guiding team alignment around messaging.
- Edit and elevate the work of peers and junior writers for clarity, brevity and creative polish across all…
