Job Description // Post Coordinator Producing & Coordinating
As Post Coordinator the candidate will work closely with our Post Producer to keep the department running smoothly, and elevate the experience that clients, team members, and outside vendors have when working with Futuristic Post. This is an in-office position, with the opportunity for flexibility based on project and team needs. These duties will include:
- Coordinating with outside vendors and promoting clear communication between Futuristic's internal department and said vendors.
- Creating and maintaining accurate production calendars, while simultaneously tracking project schedules to ensure the department is hitting milestones & deadlines.
- Coordinating client meetings/project kickoffs; tracking editors' hours to stay on top of time spent per project.
- Quality-checking work to ensure that the respective feedback has been addressed and is free of errors.
- Researching, gathering, and organizing outside assets such as VO talent, and assisting in the search for music & stock footage.
- Welcoming opportunities to continue development in post producing and project management.
The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of the fundamentals of post production software, including Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder, Resolve, and Photoshop. Equally as important, the candidate must be detail oriented and display the enthusiasm to dive deeper into these applications and our processes. These duties will include:
- Footage transcoding, project setup, loading in, and organizing footage.
- Uploading proxies and projects into Futuristic's cloud based server.
- Assisting in the management of our media and archival processes.
- Exporting cuts for review.
- Sending/sharing assets with partners, versioning/formatting, and archiving final deliverables.
An important part of Futuristic's day-to-day office operations includes maintaining the highest quality experience for our clients. An ideal candidate for this position will provide consistent support to the team, ensuring that our in-office experience is unique and memorable for everyone who comes through our doors.
Qualifications- 2+ years of generalized post, production, and/or advertising experience (school courses and extracurriculars may satisfy).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to project a professional profile in-person, on the phone, and email.
- Highly organized, able to manage both your own to-do list and provide safety-net support in keeping an eye on the status of your teammates' work.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to spot typos, errors, and glitches in digital assets.
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Suite.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace, including Google Sheets, for budgeting and scheduling.
