Lead Product Designer, Marketplace

Role overview

This role owns the Discover surface end-to-end as the lead designer, shaping how creators get found and how people find experiences worth their time. It is a founder-led product team focused on a two-sided marketplace spanning communities, courses, events, and more. The work calls for deep consumer marketplace experience, systems thinking, and an active AI prototyping workflow.

• Own Discover end-to-end: identify opportunities, set design direction, and ship work that raises the bar for discovery on the platform.
• Design experiences across communities, courses, and events that balance both sides of the marketplace.
• Prototype and iterate at speed using AI-assisted tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, v0, or Lovable.
• Partner closely with product, engineering, and leadership on a founder-led team with strong vision and high standards.
• Shape ranking, engagement, and trust-building patterns that work at scale.
• Surface decisions early, share work proactively, and raise the craft bar for the broader design team.

• Marketplace or two-sided platform experience is required, with 5+ years of product design including shipped 0 to 1 work and complex multi-user flows.
• Experience as the most senior designer on a product area, setting direction, making tradeoffs, and owning outcomes independently.
• Genuine fluency with AI-assisted prototyping and the ability to speak concretely about process.
• Proficiency in Figma for high-fidelity design and cross-functional collaboration.
• CEFR Level C2 or ILR Level 5 proficiency in English, with proactive, opinionated written communication suited to a distributed team.
• Comfort designing in ambiguity, building conviction through iteration rather than waiting for perfect requirements.
