Position: Bilingual Labor & Employment Specialist.

Overview

The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) is hiring a Labor/Employment Specialist I (H6N2TX
) to support the Colorado Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) program. This position is 100% remote, though occasional travel to a state office may be required. The applicant must be a Colorado state resident and the posting closed at 11:59 PM on 11 March 2026; the position is no longer accepting applications.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is:

$24.45–$36.83 hourly

$1,956.00–$2,946.40 biweekly

$4,238.00–$6,383.87 monthly

Responsibilities

Assist, educate, and inform Colorado business owners, employers, sole proprietors, and individuals about their FAMLI program rights and responsibilities. Interact with citizens via telephone, e‑mail, and chat platforms to resolve inquiries related to account creation, registration, navigation, troubleshooting, and program rules. Provide thorough, quality customer service, explain FAMLI policies and regulations, and guide participants toward self‑service system resources to promote independence.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Four (4) years and six (6) months of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • Must be a Colorado state resident at the time of application.
  • Pass a thorough background check, including the E-Verify process.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Call center experience.
  • Customer service or contact center role.
  • Experience in a remote/virtual position.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and ticketing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of the FAMLI Statute and Adopted Rules.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed performance targets and KPIs.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
