The Front Desk Representative is our first point of contact for all guests, members, friends, and partners who visit our home, the Buell Public Media Center. The ideal candidate is a professional, detail-oriented multitasker accustomed to managing simultaneous requests , all while fostering an environment of inclusion, equity, and belonging.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Greets and welcomes all as soon as they arrive at the Buell Public Media Center
- Maintains a safe and secure facility by ensuring all RMPM guests and visitors follow check-in/check-out procedures.
- Handles incoming communications and messages, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
- Ensures the front desk is neat, presentable, and equipped with all the necessary supplies.
- Accepts all letters and packages, distributing them to their appropriate departments or Partners.
- Coordinates with membership, prepares and mails out RMPM acknowledgement letters.
- Facilitates any ticket winner and giveaways
- Manages quarterly ordering and delivery of beverage products
- Researches and answers public inquiries in a timely fashion.
- Maintains knowledge of – and is able to communicate – RMPBS and KUVO programs, activities, and events to guests, visitors, and callers.
- Keeps kitchen, Lobby and other areas clean and tidy.
- Waters and cares for our plants.
- Other tasks as assigned and/or required.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Spanish language skills a plus.
- 1-2 years of administrative and customer support experience.
- Passionate about RMPM programs and offerings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate effectively to people of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and resolve unexpected situations.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of and prior usage of Office
365 applications, including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Knowledge of basic audio/video equipment and web conferencing tools.

Work and Physical EnvironmentDepending on work assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations. Must be able to stand, walk, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weight of up to 20 pounds. Must be able to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends.
