Responsible for oversight of gym operations to ensure a positive member experience and a financially successful club.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Recruit, hire, train, schedule and supervise team members.
- Ensure member service oversight and great customer service experience at all times.
- Participate in front desk tasks: greeting members, gym tours, addressing member service issues, etc.
- Provide support for team members and club members.
- Create and maintain a positive image for the club.
- Coach and counsel performance to meet company standards.
- Ensure prompt opening/closing of gym and that staff are aware of current marketing promotions.
- Complete manager portion of onboarding in Paycom for new hires.
- Ensure club is open and staffed during all hours of business.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Order supplies and track inventory.
- Customer Service: communicate and interact with customers, coworkers, and the public to exceed their wants and needs.
- Listening: actively listen, empathize, and work collaboratively to solve problems.
- Problem Solving: recognize and define problems, analyze information, encourage alternative solutions, and plan to resolve situations.
- Diplomacy: demonstrate tact and skill in all interactions with appropriate behavior and language.
- Communication: maintain timely and effective communication with staff, supervisors, and various departments.
- Honesty and strong work ethic.
- At least 1 year of equivalent managerial experience.
- Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Stand and walk at least 75% of the shift.
- Talk in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift.li>
- Lift up to 50 lbs. less than 30% of the time.
