What you’ll doThis part-time position is a Registered Youth Apprenticeship through the U.S. Department of Labor and Career Wise USA. Youth apprentices are defined as ages 16-24, in accordance with federal and state statutory program guidelines.
The apprenticeship features a structured three‑year on‑the‑job training and educational curriculum that takes you from foundational learning to advanced professional skills. Although the training program is mapped over three years, employment is at‑will. This means you and the Company retain the right to terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or advance notice.
The Customer Experience team (CXP) is a dynamic group dedicated to fostering meaningful connections, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction at every touchpoint. As a Customer Experience Apprentice you’ll learn what factors drive business success.
What you can expect- Attend a classroom training consisting of 20+ business acumen and core competency workshops.
- Learn the ins and outs of workers’ compensation so you can clearly explain rules and procedures to customers using your own problem‑solving skills.
- Represent the company by handling phone calls, emails, and faxes with a consistent, helpful, and professional attitude.
- Keep things running smoothly by prioritizing a variety of tasks, such as sorting emails and managing faxes, in a fast‑paced environment.
- Help update customer accounts by preparing and processing important documents, such as insurance certificates and address changes.
- Accurately process customer payments via credit card or electronic transfer, ensuring every transaction is error‑free.
- Collaborate daily with teammates to hit our goals and make sure every customer feels supported.
- Support non‑profit community organizations through paid volunteer opportunities.
- Must be able to work Monday through Thursday afternoons.
- Must possess or be actively working toward a high school diploma or GED by the start date.
- Must be eligible to register as a Career Wise youth apprentice.
- Being bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

- ATTENTION TO DETAIL: Working in a conscientious, consistent and thorough manner.
- CURIOSITY/INQUIRY: The disposition to respectfully and tactfully ask questions, investigate, research and/or demonstrate an inherent motivation to learn and grow in familiarity with a subject area or circumstance.
- INFORMATION MANAGEMENT: Collecting data from appropriate sources and analyzing it to prepare meaningful and concise reports that summarize the information.
- Regular attendance required.
- Extensive computer work in a hybrid home and office environment.
