Dental Assistant - Prosthodontist

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $21 – $29 per hour (based on experience and certification)

• Assist the Prosthodontist in advanced dental procedures, especially implant treatments.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, maintaining strict infection‑control standards.
• Provide chair‑side assistance, anticipating the dentist’s needs and keeping the treatment area organized.
• Make patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
• Take dental X‑rays, process radiographs, and assist with radiographic imaging.
• Prepare materials for impressions and restorations.
• Educate patients on post‑operative care and general oral hygiene.
• Support the prosthetic team with inventory management, lab coordination, and record‑keeping.
• Perform office tasks such as scheduling appointments, receiving patients, maintaining records, and ordering supplies.
• Collaborate with other clinical staff—including oral surgeons, hygienists, and patient education consultants—to ensure exceptional care.
• Assist in specialized areas such as oral surgery, periodontics, and prosthodontics as required.

• Valid certifications meeting applicable state requirements.
• At least 2 years of previous experience in a dental assistant role.
• Prior experience with dental implants or prosthodontics is highly desirable.
• Strong manual dexterity and precision in handling dental instruments.
• Calm under pressure and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and patient‑care skills.
• Comfortable with radiographic equipment and digital dental technology.
