Dentist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to provide high-quality dental care to patients of all ages. The Dentist will be responsible for diagnosing oral health conditions, developing treatment plans, performing dental procedures, and educating patients on preventive care. The Dentist will also provide supervision to their Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences.

• 1. Provide high-quality, compassionate dental care to patients of all ages, including examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, preventive care, restorative procedures, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, and emergency dental services within the approved scope of practice.
• 2. Evaluate patients' oral health through clinical examinations, review of medical and dental histories, interpretation of radiographs and diagnostic tests, and development of comprehensive, sequenced treatment plans in accordance with evidence-based standards and established clinical guidelines.
• 3. Perform a variety of dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, crowns and bridges, dentures and removable prosthetics, preventive treatments, fluoride applications, sealants, and other general dentistry services. Administer local anesthetics and prescribe medications as appropriate.
• 4. Educate patients on oral health, disease prevention, treatment options, and post-treatment care, while promoting patient engagement and removing barriers to care whenever possible.
• 5. Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation within electronic dental and health records (EDR/EHR), including diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, procedures, consultations, referrals, and outcomes.
• 6. Coordinate patient care through appropriate referrals and consultations, collaborating with dental specialists, medical providers, behavioral health professionals, and community agencies to ensure integrated, patient-centered care.
• 7. Adhere to all applicable federal, state, OSHA, infection control, safety, credentialing, and regulatory requirements, including established Standards of Care and Colorado State Dental Board regulations.
• 8. Participate in Quality Assurance and Continuous Quality Improvement activities, including peer chart reviews, productivity initiatives, and evaluation of treatment outcomes to support excellence in patient care.
• 9. Collaborate effectively with dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, laboratory personnel, operational leaders, and administrative staff to support clinical operations, patient access, and overall program success.
• 10. Serve as a supportive team member and clinical leader by mentoring staff, supervising students, residents, or dental support personnel as assigned, and contributing to professional development and educational programs.
• 11. Support dental clinic operations through participation in meetings, program planning, inventory and supply management, administrative responsibilities, credentialing activities, and other duties assigned by the Dental Director.
• 12. Stay current with advancements in dental technology, treatment methodologies, and evidence-based practices through ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• 13. Demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, teamwork, and leadership while contributing to an exceptional patient and staff experience.
