The Work Unit:

Within DCPHR’s Health Equity Branch, the Mobile Public Health Clinic Program (MPHCP) is responsible for bridging gaps in access to disease control and public health services statewide, and rapidly responding to emergent issues. The program provides services to all Coloradans with an emphasis on serving Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), low income people, uninsured people and underserved communities such as those in rural areas of the state or with high social vulnerability.

On a day-to-day basis, vaccine clinics for routine, COVID-19, flu and mpox vaccines are our core service offering. Other disease control services that can be provided include provision of post-exposure prophylaxis (e.g. immune globulin (IG) to people who can’t be vaccinated), treatments and testing services during outbreaks or disease exposure incidents. During times of emergency, MPHC can quickly deploy temporary clinics in places that most convenient and accessible for the population affected.

What You Will Do:

This position coordinates and leads patient care services ding nurses and clinical staff, providing ongoing training to help ensure the team maintains best practices. Traveling to different regions of the State of Colorado, serving underserved populations, bringing public health resources and disease mitigation through vaccinations, testing, and other disease control services.
