Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide essential administrative and operational support to the CCD Dental Hygiene Clinic and assist the Clinical Coordinator in ensuring the clinic runs efficiently and effectively. Because the clinic operates nine hours a day, seven days a week, consistent and dependable support is essential to maintaining daily operations and providing a positive experience for patients and students.

This position supports both front- and back-office clinic functions, including patient check-in and scheduling, student schedule coordination, billing and payment processing, communication, sterilization, laundry, and overall clinic cleanliness. The position works closely with the Clinical Coordinator to help maintain a well-organized, clean, and smoothly functioning clinical environment that supports the educational mission of the dental hygiene program and the delivery of quality patient care.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist the clinic coordinator in managing the daily operations of the CCD dental hygiene clinic. Including but not limited to checking in patients, create patient charts, scheduling patients and screenings, organizing student schedules, working with Medicaid billing, answering phones, and managing CCD dental hygiene email boxes. Back office duties include but not limited to sterlization, laundry and maintaining the cleanliness of the clinic.

This position will require cashier training in Cash Net in order to take payments and manage deposits

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office suite, email, electronic health records systems).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • -High school diploma or equivalent
  • No prior experience required. Training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • - Prior experience in a dental or medical office setting is advantageous.
  • -Fluency in Spanish (both verbal and written)
  • -Associate degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • -Knowledge of dental software, Dentrix specifically
  • - Previous experience with Medicaid
