About the RoleWe are seeking a highly capable Senior Designer to join our Denver team. This role is for an experienced professional who understands the commercial furniture dealership environment, can take ownership of projects, and coordinates effectively with internal and external team members. The Senior Designer will own projects end-to-end and partner seamlessly with sales, project management, manufacturers, and clients. This is not a production-only role.
You will be expected to think strategically, solve problems independently, and elevate both the quality of the work and the team around you.
- Lead design efforts on commercial workplace projects from programming through installation.
- Translate client needs into clear, compelling design solutions.
- Develop space plans, test fits, and furniture layouts with minimal oversight.
- Produce accurate, buildable documentation and specifications.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to support pursuits and client presentations.
- Present design concepts confidently to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Mentor junior designers and raise overall design standards.
- Coordinate with manufacturers, reps, and internal teams to ensure execution aligns with design intent.
- Balance creativity with budget, schedule, function, and aesthetics.
- 5+ years of commercial interior design experience
- Strongly preferred: experience working at a commercial furniture dealer
- Advanced CET and specification proficiency (required)
- Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and independently in CET
- Deep understanding of commercial furniture systems, specifications, and typical construction workflows
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and visual
- Detail-oriented, organized, and accountable
- Comfortable operating with autonomy and ownership
- Experience supporting large corporate, multi-location, or national accounts
- Familiarity with architectural coordination and construction documentation
- Experience mentoring or leading other designers
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field (NCIDQ a plus, not required)
