Job Description:

We are currently seeking a licensed Project Architect with 10-12 years of experience for an award-winning global firm. This person will join a Sports + Recreation studio and play a key role in delivering technically complex projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience across all phases of design (SD, DD, CD, CA). They should demonstrate proficiency in Revit, construction documentation, building code analysis, and consultant coordination. Strong knowledge of life safety, entitlement processes, and jurisdictional approvals is essential. The ability to mentor junior staff and manage client relationships is highly valued.

Responsibilities:

* Lead all phases of the design process with technical precision and design excellence

* Manage multiple projects of varying scale, including mission-critical and secure facilities

* Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure project success

* Oversee quality control reviews and ensure conformance with design intent and standards

* Mentor junior staff and support team development

* Engage with building codes, entitlement processes, and regulatory reviews

* Contribute to marketing pursuits, proposals, and client interviews

* Collaborate with national teams and participate in firmwide initiatives

Qualifications:

* NAAB-accredited architecture degree (B.Arch or M.Arch)

* Architectural license required

* 10+ years of professional experience (ideally 15+), with leadership potential

* Advanced proficiency in Revit

* Strong knowledge of design process, construction documentation, and administration

* Experience with large scale stadium and arena projects

* Familiarity with building, zoning, and energy codes

* Software proficiency:
Rhino (Grasshopper), Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, Enscape, Lumion, VRay

* Experience with physical modeling tools and environmental analysis software is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $93000.00 - $123000.00/yr.

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Architect with deep experience in complex commercial, sports, recreation, and entertainment projects, particularly those involving spectator experience, venue design, and large‑scale assembly environments such as arenas, stadiums, athletic facilities, and event venues. Ideal candidates excel in design development, technical documentation, venue planning, bowl geometry, access and circulation strategy, high‑volume occupant flow, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Strong expertise in Revit, computational modeling tools, building codes, QA/QC, consultant collaboration, and construction administration is essential, along with the ability to deliver high‑performance, user‑focused environments across fast‑paced project types.
