Your Role as a Revit Designer
We are seeking a skilled Revit Design Engineer who will be responsible for producing high-quality, detailed construction documents using Revit software. You will work closely with Sales, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of designs. This position plays a critical role in our food service portable product line, and will support across multiple business lines.
This position reports to the Senior Design Manager.
Key Responsibilities Revit/BIM Modeling & Design- Utilize Revit software for Building Information Modeling (BIM) to produce detailed design layouts and construction documents.
- Use Revit drawing logic to create comprehensive architectural construction sets, including floor plans, product schematics, and architectural details.
- Manage Revit models, including loading families, versioning, and implementing best practices for saving and sharing models.
- Work with Autodesk Construction Cloud for collaborative work‑shared models involving multiple stakeholders.
- Apply professional judgment in determining the best approach for completing assignments.
- Participate in client design reviews to assess design concepts and provide recommendations for improvement of design and operational elements.
- Work with engineers to develop structural designs and translate sketches and input into working models.
- Assist in the development of structural designs in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Review sketches, notes, and input from engineers and designers to develop 2D and 3D models that accurately reflect project needs.
- Interpret provided specifications and ensure they are reflected accurately in all design work.
- Analyze input data to produce accurate construction documents and drawings.
- Perform both routine and complex design assignments, ensuring compliance with company and industry drafting standards.
- Participate in client design reviews to provide valuable input and make project recommendations.
- Provide estimates and scoping information when required for planning.
- Assist in identifying and solving design and spatial conflicts during project development.
- Assist in the development of food service and operational layouts for kitchen and vending areas.
- Provide planning estimates and technical input to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs.
- Analyze input material to determine the best approach for completing drawings, maintaining a high standard of accuracy and technical clarity.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with engineers, designers, architects, and project stakeholders.
- A high level of attention to detail and organization to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Familiarity with the construction process, including project timelines, site conditions, and the role of various trades.
- Familiarity with kitchen or food service equipment design.
- Positive attitude and the ability to contribute to a collaborative work environment.
- Proven ability to develop design layouts and drawings from sketches and rough input provided by engineers.
- The ability to read, understand, and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Participate in client design reviews to provide valuable input and make project recommendations.
- Associate’s degree or higher in Computer Aided Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Revit software, including hands‑on experience with Revit Families and model management (loading families, versioning, saving/sharing).
- Experience with specification of cooking equipment based on product requirements or electrical/physical limitations.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud for collaborative model sharing.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt to changing priorities.
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to plan, conceptualize, and solve design challenges.
- Hands‑on experience with Enscape, Sketch Up, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD is a plus.
- Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 per year commensurate with experience.
