Quality Assurance Architect

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Architect to champion technical excellence, consistency, and design integrity across all projects. This role serves as a firmwide technical leader, guiding QA processes to ensure architectural documentation meets the highest standards for quality, accuracy, constructability, and code compliance across all phases of design. This role is critical to safeguarding the integrity, safety, and performance of our work, reducing risk, strengthening project delivery, and enhancing client satisfaction across the organization.

• Lead and manage comprehensive QA reviews from schematic design through construction contract administration
• Review drawings for coordination, constructability, buildability, waterproofing, and specification alignment
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across architectural, structural, and MEP documentation

• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, accessibility standards, regulations, and firmwide standards
• Stay current with evolving building codes, construction technologies, and industry best practices
• Proactively identify risks and partner with teams to resolve issues early

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve firmwide QA standards, checklists, procedures, and protocols
• Oversee the development and refinement master specifications, standard details, and Revit/BIM standards
• Partner with firm leadership to enhance technical performance and documentation quality

• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Principals, consultants, and technical staff to resolve design conflicts early in the design process
• Support teams during RFI and submittal reviews to ensure accuracy and alignment with design intent
• Review milestone drawings across all phases for quality and compliance

• Serve as an expert technical resource for across the firm
• Mentor and train staff in documentation standards, construction methods, and technical best practices

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited program

• 10+ years of professional architectural experience
• 2-3+ years focused on quality assurance and quality control
• Experience across multiple project types

• Architectural licensure preferred

• Advanced proficiency in using Bluebeam Studio. Strong working knowledge of Revit and/or AutoCAD is preferred
• Deep understanding of building codes, construction systems, detailing, and BIM workflows
• Familiarity with recognized industry quality management systems and industry standards is a plus
