Design Intern; Fall

HDR invites candidates to apply for a Design Intern position (Fall 2026) within our Architecture practice, focused on designing and delivering spaces that enhance community well‑being.

• Offer real‑world experience on exciting projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of an Architect, Project Manager, or other professionals
• Participate in the architectural design process, developing alternative solutions and presentation graphics used to communicate concepts to clients or for agency approval
• Follow through on design development drawings and models, and collaborate with production staff for technical details and completion of construction drawings
• Perform other duties as needed

• 2 years completed toward a degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to the field of study or industry

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
• Attention to detail
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Commitment to actively participate in an employee‑owned culture

The intern will receive a competitive compensation ranging from $18 to $30 per hour in Colorado, based on skills, experience, education, and location.
