Student Multimedia Production Support Specialist
Supports the operational logistics and process of developing academic content for teaching and learning activities by faculty, staff and students at the College.
- Provide support in the creation of asynchronous academic content with multimedia including the use of video cameras, Adobe Suite editing tools, podcasting equipment, and other technologies.
- Provide operational support for a new media studio designed to record students’ presentation skills, interviewing skills and other yet to be determined activities. In addition, the position will provide support for vodcast and podcasts for the College.
- Provide support in the design, development, and execution of faculty content via Canvas, Zoom and other courseware management technologies.
- Provide production support for the engineering of podcasts and live events.
- Other assigned duties in support of challenge driven education and Daniels College initiatives.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities or Interest and Aptitude for:
- Video camera, lights and sound experience highly desired
- Adobe Production Suite skills highly desired
- Strong technology, computer, and multimedia skills. (Canvas, Zoom, Media Space and other collaboration tools skills preferred but not required.)

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Ability to organize and prioritize given tasks and follow oral and written instructions
- Independently assess opportunities and situations and provide reasonable solutions
Other
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Problem-solving skills, including customer service and event planning abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment
- Willingness to learn new things and be innovative
Required Qualifications
- Current DU undergraduate or graduate student (all years welcome, from freshmen to graduate students) located in the Denver area.
- Willingness to complete tasks on-campus and in the Media Studio
- Interest in multimedia and video production or willingness to learn
- This position is based at the Multimedia Studio located in the The Hub (Suite 155) in the Daniels College of Business
- Unexpected interruptions may occur so flexibility with priorities is necessary
- Noise level is quiet to moderate.
Physical Activities
- Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period.
- Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.
