JOB TITLE: BIM Coordinator / Drafting Lead
JOB TYPE: Full-Time
Position OverviewSmart Pads is a fast-growing, luxury pre‑fabrication home builder based between Steamboat Springs, CO, Denver, CO, and Vernal, UT. Its sister company, Crafted Structures, manages the on‑site components of our homes. Smart Pads is seeking a highly organized, systems‑minded BIM Coordinator / Drafting Lead to help build and scale the future of our residential design workflow. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both developing efficient drafting systems and executing high‑quality production work.
Key Responsibilities- Help develop and maintain Smart Pads’ BIM standards, templates, workflows, and drafting systems
- Build scalable processes that integrate Sketch Up and Revit efficiently
- Assist in creating drawing standards, libraries, annotation systems, model organization, and documentation workflows
- Work closely with leadership to improve coordination, efficiency, and consistency across projects
- Identify bottlenecks and help implement practical workflow solutions
- Support long‑term scalability of the design and drafting department
- Produce and maintain Revit drawing sets for residential projects
- Execute all drawing updates, revisions, redlines, and coordination changes
- Translate conceptual and design direction into accurate construction documentation
- Coordinate closely with designers and project leadership throughout project development
- Maintain organized, accurate project files and documentation standards
- Assist with detailing, sheet setup, and documentation consistency across projects
Smart Pads is looking for a self‑starting BIM Coordinator who is passionate about growth and the construction process.

Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Revit required
- Strong understanding of BIM workflows and documentation standards
- Experience developing templates, standards, or scalable drafting systems preferred
- Familiarity with Sketch Up and interoperability between Sketch Up and Revit strongly preferred
- Strong technical drafting and documentation skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of systems and production responsibilities
- Residential architecture or residential design experience preferred
