As a Senior Designer at FBC you will be working with an Interior Designer to create designs, present multiple design concepts, close plan reviews, and work with on-site superintendents to execute the construction of your design.
- Measure and create 'as-built' onsite, note plans and elevations, and work with our estimator to obtain necessary quotes for plans.
- Create two design sketches from the Design Consultants Notes with homeowners per project. You will be collaborating on the sketches with the Design Consultant
- Translate and complete the sketches in Chief Architect for the Ideas meeting with the clients
- Participate in Ideas Meeting and Plan Review to walk through the designs with Homeowners. Participate in live design during meetings and update all designs after meetings.
- Lead and manage the construction notes, 2d and 3d renderings, and materials and fixture selections.
- Ensure that the client experience is delightful through the planning process.
- Create innovative designs that inspire each homeowner.
- Strong active listening ability for delighting each homeowner with design plans.
- Create and disseminate the final laminate drawings for the job start.
- Complete the mid-project review with the Super and Project Manager.
- Attend the pre-construction meeting onsite with the trades and the homeowner.
- Manage design related questions and modifications the production team has while project is in construction.
- Attend projects walks like post demo, frame and finish, and closing walk.
- 2 plus years of sales related experience.
- A degree or certificate in architecture, space planning and/or interior design.
- Familiar with blueprints, drawing up construction notes, and communicating estimates.
- Must be currently proficient in a design program such as Chief Architect, 20/20, or AutoCAD.
- Achieve a working knowledge of our software of choice, Chief Architect before start date.
- The desire to learn and execute the FBC Remodel design/sales process.
- An unstoppable growth mindset, that owns results, places team first, and speaks as a creator.
- Must have driver's license and access to your own vehicle.
Base Salary Range – 55-85K+ Commissions
