Vitality is looking for a Senior Technical Designer who is organized, detail-oriented, and strong at technical execution and communication. This role is an important part of our product team and works closely with design, product development, and overseas factories to help bring product to life accurately and efficiently. We’re looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, works well independently, communicates clearly, and takes ownership of their work.
This role reports directly to the VP of Design.
- Manage technical execution from proto through production
- Manage specs, fit comments, garment measurements, and technical updates
- Translate fit direction into clear, actionable factory communication
- Partner closely with design, product development, and overseas vendors
- Review samples and identify fit/construction issues proactively
- Maintain consistency across fit, grading, and construction standards
- Update sketches and technical documentation as needed
- Support weekly fit sessions and accurately track revisions
- Build out tech packs as a team
- 6–8 years of technical design experience in apparel
- Strong understanding of fit and construction in active wear and/or stretch garments
- Strong communication skills with factories and cross-functional teams
- Understanding of pattern adjustments and fit implications
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Calm, solutions-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working independently and managing priorities
- Comfortable working in PLM systems and updating sketches in Adobe Illustrator
- Experience with tech packs, fit comments, and garment construction
- Mostly remote/hybrid, may require some commute throughout the week to grab any reference samples
- Weekly in-person fittings ~1 day/week
- Collaborative, low-ego team environment
