You have experience providing non-evaluative instructional coaching, including classroom observations, feedback, modeling, and co-planning.
You have demonstrated success as a classroom teacher with a deep understanding of effective, evidence-based instructional practices and curriculum implementation.
You possess the ability to apply adult learning principles to support teacher growth, drive instructional change, and facilitate professional learning communities.
You are proficient in analyzing student work and assessment data to inform instruction and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
You are skilled in building trust and professional relationships through high levels of emotional intelligence, cultural competency, and collaborative professionalism.
You are a skilled communicator and collaborator who can navigate sensitive feedback and diverse perspectives with empathy and professionalism.
You have strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage coaching cycles and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You are comfortable using instructional technology, data platforms, and learning management systems (preferably Blackbaud and Google Suite) to support teaching and learning.
What You’ll DoClassroom-Based
Coaching:
Provide ongoing, non-evaluative coaching through classroom observations, co-planning, modeling, and feedback aligned to school-wide instructional priorities.
Implementation Support: Support teachers in implementing adopted curricula, instructional frameworks, and evidence-based practices with fidelity and responsiveness to student needs.
Professional Learning Facilitation: Co-facilitate professional learning sessions, labs, and communities of practice designed by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction , supporting transfer from PD to classroom practice.
Data-Informed Instruction: Partner with teachers to analyze formative and summative assessment data and adjust instruction to improve student learning.
Instructional Trends & Feedback: Surface patterns, strengths, and challenges in instructional practice and communicate insights to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction to inform school-wide learning priorities.
Collaborative Planning: Support grade-level and domain teams through planning, reflection, and instructional problem-solving.
