The Department of History at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty positions to teach courses across our broad range of content. These positions are temporary and require an ability to teach both in-person and online.

MSU Denver enrolls over 16,000 students, with nearly 60% first-generation and over 55% students of color. Located in downtown Denver, it is a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), a recipient of the INSIGHT into Diversity HEED Award for 10 years, and the only Seal of Excelencia certified institution in Colorado. The university is committed to access and diversity, serving the most diverse undergraduate population in Colorado, including first-generation and DACA students.

Affiliate faculty duties include teaching assigned classes in person or online, preparing course materials, grading, providing feedback, addressing student questions, and supporting students academically. Candidates should be adaptable to various teaching modes and sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student body.

Master's degree in history or a closely related field.

• Doctorate in History or related field
• Teaching experience, with assignments based on departmental needs and the candidate's background

Part-time, at-will, per-credit-hour employment, usually semester-based. Not eligible for benefits. Teaching is expected to be on campus initially.
