Tuesday – Friday – 2:00 pm – 6:30 pm
Summary Primary Job FunctionThe Lead Staff at our Fort Morgan Clubhouse will play a crucial role in providing a positive Club Experience with compassion. The individual in this position must possess a good understanding of the organization's mission, vision, and goals, as well as the objectives, policies, and procedures of the Fort Morgan Clubhouse after a brief training period. Additionally, our Lead Staff are expected to be strong ambassadors in the Morgan School District.
SkillsThe experience of young people at the Club involves building relationships with staff, taking part in enjoyable and meaningful programs, acquiring important skills, making new friends, and developing their talents. This is known as The Club Experience. BGCWC is dedicated to enhancing the quality and influence of The Club Experience for its members and extending the reach of Clubhouses in the community.
The areas of responsibility held by Lead Staff regarding The Club Experience are as follows:
- Daily member attendance tracking
- Direct Parent Communication
- Member Discipline
- Member Recognition
- Create Programs
- Maintain a clean and safe club facility that is ready to “show-off” to members, parents, and community members.
- Develop and implement strategies to recruit, retain, and re-engage members in the surrounding neighborhoods served by the Club.
- Regularly communicate and collaborate with established connections such as feeder schools, volunteer cohorts, and other community partners.
- Establish strong connections with other community leaders and youth development professionals (I.e. teachers, principals, youth pastors, business owners, social workers, correction officers, etc.).
- Establish and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with parents of each member.
- Manage and participate in all administrative and operational processes including, but not limited to cleaning the club, closing and opening procedures, responding to parent emails, responding to parent voicemails, submitting safety reports, submitting incident reports, participating in meetings when assigned, etc.

- Training in Youth Development
- High school diploma or GED, and currently working to complete a two- or four-year degree.
- Experience in working with children.
- Knowledge of youth development.
- Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Boys & Girls Club Basics & Safety 101 to be completed the first week of hire
- 30 Day – Complete the Milestone 1 trainings
- 60 Day – Complete Milestone 2 trainings
- Attend Monthly trainings for positive youth development
