Job Summary

The Religious Studies and Theology Department at Regis University is seeking Affiliate Faculty to teach accelerated (8-week terms), online-asynchronous courses in Health Care Ethics. Contracts are issued per course. Continued teaching contracts are not guaranteed.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Affiliate faculty teach online courses in healthcare ethics. A completed course shell and syllabus are provided. Faculty deliver recorded virtual lectures, actively engage with student posts on the discussion board, respond to student questions, and provide feedback and grade assignments. Faculty hold 1 ½ virtual office hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications

A master's degree in philosophy, ethics, philosophy of religion, religious studies, health care ethics, moral theology, or an equivalent degree is required.

Preferred Qualifications

A doctoral degree in philosophy, ethics, philosophy of religion, religious studies, health care ethics, or moral theology and prior teaching experience are preferred.

Work Schedule

Rolling 8-week terms beginning 2026 Fall semester (8/24-12/13). These positions will remain open until filled, with a preferred Final date to receive applications of March 3rd, 2026.

Benefits

This position is benefits-eligible for workers' compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.

Pay Rate

$3,225 per course
