As a Youth Development Specialist
, you’ll build supportive relationships with youth and lead fun, hands‑on activities in areas like sports, arts, STEM, and academics
. We’re looking for someone who’s creative, caring, and ready to lead programs that help young people learn, grow, and thrive.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- One year experience directly serving youth
- Basic classroom management and the ability to direct youth and provide them with clear steps and tools that support goals achievement.
- Experience with lesson plan creation and implementation
- Bilingual
- Spanish preferred - Possession of a teaching certification or background in education
- Experience working in a fast‑paced environment with multiple changing priorities
- Excellent written and oral communication skillsto complete reports, properly document programs, and utilize organizational data
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to pass criminal and driving records investigations, and reference checks.
- A valid driver's license and ability to be insured under the company's insurance policy.
- The successful candidate will primarily work indoors. Accordingly, the ability to use a variety of equipment including janitorial and office equipment is required.
- The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25 lbs.
- Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion.
- Strong English proficiency is required for this position to ensure effective communications with staff, Club members, and families, as well as to follow safety and procedural guidelines accurately.
