Women's Bean Project (WBP) isseekinga dedicated, part-time Adult Education Instructor to support women in our transitional employment program who are working toward earning their GED and improving overall math and literacy skills. This role plays a direct and meaningful impact by delivering engaging instruction, developing lesson plans, and preparing participants for GED testing and success in future workplaces.
The Adult Ed Instructor will foster a supportive, trauma-informed classroom environment that builds academic skills, confidence, and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead GED-focused instruction in core subject areas (math, language arts, science, and social studies)
- Develop and implement engaging, level-appropriate lesson plans
- Assess participant skill levels and track academic progress
- Prepare participants for official GED testing
- Provide individualized academic support and encouragement
- Collaborate with program staff to align instruction with participants’ employment and personal goals
- Maintainaccurateattendance and progress documentation
- Administer The Adult Basic Education (TABE) assessment tonew participants
- Passionate about education as a pathway to economic mobility

- Experience administering theTest of Adult Basic Education (TABE) assessments
- Committed to empowering women to achieve their academic and professional goals
- Experience teaching adult learners, preferably in GED or adult basic education settings
- Strong understanding of GED subject matter and testing structure
- Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning levels
- Experience working with individuals facing barriers to employment preferred
- Trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to instruction
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to commute:
Denver, CO 80223 - Must be able to remain in a stationary position forlong periodsof time.

Hours:- 6hours a week
- On – Site Monday Mornings and Thursday Afternoon
