Gymnastics Instructor (Youth Gymnastics Assistant)

Hours vary based on program enrollment;
Monday - Friday and Weekend hours

$14.00 - $18.00/hour

• High school degree
• Previous coaching experience
• Previous work experience in education, recreation or related field

This position is not benefit eligible.

• Provide instruction and/or coaching to a variety of ages from toddlers to high school students.
• Ensure environment and equipment are safe and maintained.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Report any equipment, injury or safety issues to supervisor immediately.
• Maintain effective communications with students, parents/guardians, coworkers, and community members.
• Communicate regularly with supervisor.
• Be a positive role model for respectful behavior and problem‑solving strategies and adhere to district procedures and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Proven leadership with both youth and adults.
• Proven knowledge of basic gymnastics skills and techniques and ability to demonstrate.
• Ability to be trained to effectively teach skills and techniques to a variety of age groups and ability levels.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with various age groups.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and resolve disputes and problems effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to understand and follow data privacy rules and regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
• Ability to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends.
• Communicates with students, parents, coworkers, supervisors and community members in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances effective work relationships.
