Position Summary
The Department of Management at MSU Denver invites applications for part‑time affiliate faculty teaching positions in Business Law (PT MGT‑LAW). Candidates will teach 3‑9 credit hours of business law and work with a diverse student population.
Responsibilities- Teach 3‑9 credit hours of business law.
- Work and interact with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.
- Deliver course content to students, preparing lesson plans and course materials.
- Grade student work and provide timely feedback.
- Address student questions consistent with university, college/school, and department policies.
- Provide academic support to students as needed.
- Deliver instruction consistent with the content and learning objectives of the regular course syllabus and, if required, with department course coordination policies.
- Comply with university‑wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies.
- Adapt to new modes of instruction and demonstrate sensitivity to the educational needs of a diverse student population.
- Juris Doctorate and licensed in one or more states.
- Meet the College of Business Faculty Qualification Policy criteria to be classified as either SP or IP.
- Work experience in the teaching field.
Affiliate faculty are part‑time, at‑will employees hired on a per credit hour basis for specific classes, usually on a semester‑by‑semester basis. They are not eligible for benefit coverage under the University’s benefit program. Qualified candidates are expected to teach in person/on campus upon hire.
SalaryPay per credit hour assignment ranges from $1,264 to $1,482, based on university policy. Final salary is determined by the number of credit hours assigned.
BenefitsAffiliate faculty are not eligible for the University’s benefit program. The University offers a comprehensive benefits package for full‑time faculty, but affiliate positions do not participate in that program.
