Position Summary:
This role functions as an important support for students in their subject learning, supplementing the classroom learning and supplying direct support to students.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Learning Support & Executive Function Coach (K1-G5)
- Ensure that students with learning differences are identified effectively through diagnostic, formative assessments and observations, and referred through the ISD System of Referral.
- Plan, implement, and monitor targeted intervention programs for individuals and small groups based on identified learning needs.
- Work directly with students to develop executive function skills (organization, planning, time management, task initiation, and self-regulation) to increase independence and academic success.
- Collaborate within the Learning Support team and with teachers to design, implement, and monitor interventions, using consistent strategies such as scaffolds, check-ins, and accountability systems.
- Contribute to and implement a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) by strengthening Tier 1 instruction and coordinating Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports.
- Use a range of assessment data (diagnostic, formative, standardized) to guide instruction, track progress, and adjust interventions.
- Coordinate and develop Individual Student Plans (ISPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and students as appropriate.
- Initiate and participate in Learning Support Team meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment around student needs.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, write reports, and maintain accurate Learning Support records and registers.
- Establish strong partnerships with teachers, acting as a coach and advisor to support differentiation, accommodations, and inclusive practices.
- Provide professional development and coaching to faculty on executive function strategies, UDL, and supporting diverse learners.
