We are looking for someone who delivers lessons thoughtfully and authentically within the Montessori philosophy while demonstrating a love of learning and a commitment to professional growth. This individual should bring creativity, enthusiasm, and initiative to their work and be confident in independently leading and managing their classroom community. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable communicating with families about student progress, supporting individual learning goals, and maintaining accurate records of student development and academic growth.
They should be committed to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that supports each child's independence.
Qualifications:
* At least 1 year of Lead Teacher experience
* At least 1 year teaching full time in a Primary Montessori classroom
* Must have Montessori Primary Teacher Certification from an AMS, AMI, or MACTE-recognized program.
* Strong personal commitment to the education of young children.
* CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration Training (Can be arranged if not already certified)
* Excellent communication skills.
* Consistent and punctual attendance.
Salary Range: $47,840 - $56,160

Garfield Montessori School is an authentic Montessori non-profit dedicated to nurturing children aged 2.5 to 6 years old. We have two Primary classrooms, one with 4 teachers and 22 students and the other with 3 teachers and 20 students. We are a close-knit community committed to fostering a culture of belonging, where teachers, families, and students collaborate to create a supportive and enriching environment!
