2 days per week, 9 hours per day (18 hours weekly plus special events)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Spanish Instructor to join our PK–8 team. In this role, you will cultivate students’ language skills and cultural awareness through engaging, age-appropriate instruction. The ideal candidate is passionate about language education, skilled in working with diverse learners, and committed to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Spanish language instruction to students in grades PK–8, aligned with state and district standards.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Incorporate cultural elements to enhance students’ understanding of Spanish-speaking countries and traditions.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide feedback to support growth and proficiency.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to integrate language learning across the curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Maintain a structured, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and school events as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
- Valid Colorado teaching license with an endorsement in Spanish or World Languages (or ability to obtain).
- Experience teaching elementary and/or middle school students (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written Spanish.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying skill levels.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
- Experience in immersion or dual-language programs.
- Familiarity with Colorado Academic Standards for World Languages.
- Experience integrating technology into language instruction.
