Lead Teacher - Infant & Toddler About the role
At Clayton Early Learning we are dedicated to fostering a dynamic environment that supports the growth and development of young children. As a Lead Teacher you will plan, organize, implement, and deliver an infant, toddler, or preschool program based on each child’s individual and group needs. You will manage the classroom environment, work with parents, and serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Direct supervision of the classroom and management of teachers in your room are also part of the role. We seek a teacher experienced with children ages 0–3.
- Develop written plans with the classroom team for daily activities that stimulate learning in all developmental areas (physical, social, emotional, and intellectual) for a class of 8 to 16 children, which may include some children with disabilities.
- Organize classroom materials and equipment to provide a safe, supportive age‑appropriate environment for children.
- Conduct an annual inventory of existing classroom materials and equipment and future needs.
- Schedule and facilitate team and classroom meetings.
- Identify team resource needs.
- Ensure planning and accurate completion of program projects.
- Audit files, portfolios, lesson plans, etc.
- Provide supervision to the classroom teachers.
- Stay abreast of current issues and theories within the field and other related matters.
- Provide direct educational services to children and families as a contributing member of the classroom team.
- Plan and participate in the preparation, set up, and clean up of meals and snacks.
- Prepare, submit, monitor and track internal and external reports/documents, including but not limited to screenings, assessments, enrollment, and attendance.
- Administer first aid and prepare and submit accident reports.
- Work effectively with the management team to ensure smooth program operations.
- Education:
BA in Early Childhood Education or a related field with at least 36 ECE credit hours OR a valid teaching license through the state of Colorado. - Experience:
2–3 years of previous experience working with children ages 0–3 and at least 1 year of leadership experience. - Skills:
experience working with kids and families. - Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, including CBI/FBI fingerprinting, a physical, and a national sex offender registry check.
- Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annually
- $1,000 sign‑on bonus available after 90 days.
