• Affiliate faculty will teach the following laboratory courses: AS 251 Principles of Astronomy Lab, PH 205A General Physics Lab with Trigonometry I, and PH 305A General Physics Lab with Calculus I.
• Faculty are hired on a per credit hour basis for specified classes, on a semester‑by‑semester basis as needed.

• Provide instruction and facilitate active problem‑solving in assigned classes in accordance with the course syllabus and departmental policies.
• Maintain complete and accurate grade records.
• Evaluate students’ performance.
• Communicate regularly with students and the department chair, including via Regis‑provided email.
• Maintain regular office hours (1 hour per week) to support students academically.
• Collaborate with the department chair to design the course content.

Master’s degree in physics, astronomy, or a closely related field.

Teaching experience in physics, astronomy, or a related field.

Depends on the course schedule and candidate availability.

Workers’ compensation eligible and 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.

$2,150 per lab course, per semester
