Part‑time affiliate faculty teaching positions for the Anthropology degree program at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Responsibilities- Teach introductory courses in Anthropology and other subjects as needed by the department.
- Provide instruction in person, online, or hybrid formats, including morning, afternoon, evening, or online classes when available.
- Prepare course materials and lesson plans, deliver course content, grade student work, and give timely, robust feedback.
- Address student questions and provide academic support in accordance with university, college, and department policies.
- Instruct consistently with the course syllabus and learning objectives, and comply with university-wide instructional evaluation and peer observation policies.
- Adapt to new modes of instruction and be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student population.
Required: Master’s degree in Anthropology or related field.
Preferred: Ph.D. in Anthropology or related field and teaching experience.
Terms of EmploymentAffiliate faculty are part‑time, at‑will employees hired on a per‑credit‑hour basis for specific classes, usually on a semester‑by‑semester basis, and are not eligible for benefit coverage under the University’s benefits program. Qualified candidates will be expected to teach in person/on campus upon hire.
SalaryPay is based on the number of credit hours assigned at a rate of $1,264 to $1,482 per credit hour, per University policy.
