Secondary Education Affiliate Instructor

Position Summary

Affiliate Faculty – Secondary, K‑12, and Educational Technology at Metropolitan State University of Denver.

• Teach 1‑9 credit hours per semester, delivering courses in person or online.
• Prepare and deliver course materials, lesson plans, and assessments.
• Grade student work, provide timely feedback, and offer academic support.
• Consult with students and supervise field experiences as needed.
• Ensure instruction aligns with syllabus, departmental policies, and university evaluation standards.
• Adapt to new teaching modalities and address the needs of a diverse student population.

• Master’s degree in Education or related field (required).
• ABD or completed Doctorate (preferred).
• Middle and/or high school teaching experience (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to develop engaging instruction and support diverse learners.

Affiliate faculty are part‑time, at‑will employees, hired on a per credit‑hour basis for specific classes on a semester‑by‑semester basis. No employment benefits are provided.

Rate of pay per credit hour assignment: $1,264 – $1,482, depending on university policy.
