Position Summary
Department of Special Education, Early Childhood Education, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part‑time affiliate faculty teaching positions.
Responsibilities- Teach no more than 9 credit hours per semester.
- Areas to be taught include assessment, classroom management, math methods, reading methods, IEP development, emotional and behavioral disabilities, transition, and mild, moderate, and severe disabilities.
- Supervise clinical experiences during school day for some courses.
- Provide consultation with students before and after class.
- Deliver course content in person or online, prepare course materials and lesson plans, grade student work, provide timely feedback, address student questions in accordance with university policies, and provide academic support as needed.
- Adapt and learn new modes of instruction.
- Be sensitive to diverse student needs.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Doctoral degree or ABD status.
Affiliate faculty are part‑time, at‑will employees hired per credit hour basis on a semester‑by‑semester basis. Eligibility for benefit coverage is not provided. Positions are based on budget and enrollment.
SalaryPer credit hour rate is $1,264–$1,482, based on university policy.
