Position Summary
The Department of Computer Information Systems and Business Analytics at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) seeks part‑time affiliate faculty to teach future courses. Positions are hourly and full‑time may be available based on budget and enrollment.
Responsibilities- Teach 3–9 credit hours per semester.
- Prepare course materials and lesson plans.
- Deliver instruction in person or online, as required.
- Grading and timely feedback to students.
- Provide academic support and consultation.
- Adhere to university, college, and department policies and procedures.
- Participate in peer observation and student evaluation of instruction.
- Adapt to new modes of instruction as needed.
- Respond to the diverse educational needs of students.
- Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field.
- Meet the College of Business faculty qualification policy criteria for faculty classifications SP or IP.
- Doctorate or completed dissertation in a Computer Information Systems related field.
- Relevant teaching experience.
Affiliate faculty are part‑time, at‑will employees hired on a per‑credit‑hour basis for specific classes, typically semester‑by‑semester. Employment is not eligible for the university benefit program and is dependent on budget and enrollment. Qualified candidates will be expected to teach on campus upon hire.
SalaryThe rate of pay per credit hour assignment ranges from $1,264 to $1,482, per university policy.
