HoursPart‑Time, Non‑Exempt – Generally 24 hrs a week for 30 FHF program weeks from Sep‑May, 16 hrs a week for non‑FHF program weeks from June‑Aug + holiday breaks. Annual overall average 20 hrs/wk.

Within Adoption Options, the Fostering Healthy Futures® program is an evidence‑based, intensive preventive intervention for preadolescent youth (ages 9‑11) and teens (grades 8‑10) with one or more Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), which may include the experience of maltreatment, out‑of‑home placement, housing instability, violence exposure and/or parental substance use, mental illness, or incarceration.
The Fostering Healthy Futures (FHF) Teen Intern Supervisor reports to the FHF Program Manager and is responsible for providing weekly individual clinical and administrative supervision for 6 graduate level interns who will be mentoring the teens in the Fostering Healthy Futures Teens Program. This role also supports the program intake/referral process, leads the intern recruitment and training process, and promotes intern development through weekly seminar groups.
The Teen Intern Supervisor will be on‑call for mentors in the field should crises arise. In addition to providing intern supervision and support, this role will help coordinate required program activities, including support for 6 evening/weekend teen workshops throughout the program year.
- Support the intern recruiting/onboarding for the mentor positions in the Teen program, and communicate with the graduate schools as directed
- Conduct enrollment visits with youth and families for the FHF program as directed
- Co‑facilitate a 3‑day orientation for incoming mentors and provide any additional training for all graduate student interns
- Prepare for and provide weekly individual clinical and administrative supervision and support for 6 graduate student interns
- Complete weekly intern supervision documentation, review mentors’ weekly documentation of mentoring visits/internal progress notes, and complete weekly Kempe program evaluations
- Plan and facilitate weekly intern meetings, including group supervision, administrative meetings, and intern seminar trainings using the manualized curriculum provided by the Kempe Center
- Coordinate special program events, such as Career Shadow, Case Conferences, etc. as directed
- On‑call availability after hours and on weekends for mentors, should crises arise in the field
- Maintain up‑to‑date and thorough intern files as required by AO policy
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of up‑to‑date and thorough client files and notes on the youth/families in the program
- Assist with facilitation of program evaluations and reporting as directed
- Attend all training, consultations, and supervision meetings on the Fostering Healthy Futures program as directed. This includes consults with Kempe, weekly clinical team meeting, weekly supervision with FHF program manager, and AO required staff trainings
- Support the planning and implementation of 6 Teen workshops during evening/weekends throughout the program year using a manualized curriculum by the Kempe Center to teach teens important psychosocial skills essential to positive adolescent development
